The Royal Trek is a short and scenic trek that follows a shrub-like path along the foothills of Annapurna, north of Pokhara Valley. The trek is so-named because Prince Charles and his entourage explored this route in the early 1980s. It offers meaningful cultural experiences with the diverse mix of people and traditions inhabiting this region.

The journey begins in the beautiful lakeside city of Pokhara and passes through traditional Gurung hamlets. Along the way, trekkers enjoy stunning views of eloquently built hillside rice terraces and magnificent peaks including the Annapurna range, Machapuchhre (Fishtail), and the Langtang mountains. The trek ends at the scenic Begnas Lake, approximately 30 km west of Pokhara City.

The Royal Trek is ideal for beginners or travelers with limited time who wish to experience the Annapurna region. It allows close encounters with local lifestyles, ancient traditions, and offers a less crowded trekking experience compared to other Annapurna routes, immersing you in both nature and culture.
