The Day Trip to Sarangkot is an ideal hike for viewing the majestic Himalayan range. You will enjoy spectacular views of Dhaulagiri I, Annapurna, Manaslu, and the magnificent Mt. Machhapuchare (Fishtail). Sarangkot village is perched on the northwest of Pokhara and offers enchanting views of Pokhara Valley and Phewa Lake. This region is heavily settled and farmed.
The trail passes through beautiful countryside inhabited by diverse communities, primarily the Gurung people. Gurungs are famous worldwide as Gurkha soldiers, yet in their villages they are shepherds and farmers, maintaining traditional lifestyles.
This trek provides a wonderful taste of trekking in Nepal and a true experience of the grandeur of the Himalayas. It can be enjoyed all year round.
